12:36pm local time: the sun emerges again from behind the moon. We live on such an amazing planet, that has such beautiful phenomena as this!
I found a couple of other really interesting images on the Web. One was taken by the crew of the International Space Station, courtesy of NASA. It shows the shadow of the moon crossing the coast of Turkey; Cyprus is visible at the lower right. To me it looks more like a void - a complete absence of anything - than a shadow. Kind of creepy. The other is an animated sequence of images taken by the geostationary satellite Meteosat-8, courtesy of EUMETSAT. It shows the eclipse along its entire path, as seen from 22,300 miles up.
